International Affairs Head of Presidential Women and Family Affairs Centre, in the first International Conference of Women and Trade stated: “Family is the key of women and economy promotion in Iran”
In the first International Conference of Women and Trade Dr Shahin Karballaie congratulated the anniversary of Mohammad (P.B.U.H) prophecy and went on to say that preserving human dignity in all divine religions is . She said that the 10th parliament aims is establishing justice, equality, and eliminate discrimination within the different classes in society, and efficiency is the priority in its activities and choices. She emphasized the importance of female dignity for their making powerful in playing different social roles.
Dr. Karballaie introduced Presidential Women and Family Affairs Center (IPWFAC) in Islamic Republic of Iran as a responsible institute for women affairs and discussed its roles and activities which deal with issues concerning women’s employment. As well as she pointed at the general policies of Islamic Republic of Iran, such as `20 year old Perspective Document` and the ‘4th Development Plan`. She pointed that beside other organizations in Iran which play a role in women affairs, IPWFAC is active specially in three various activities such as policy making, setting suggestions, preparing draft proposals for parliament, and other necessary executive works.
The Head of IWFPAC expressed about establishing `Women Employment Development Foundation` which is supposed to be active by assistance of Women and Family Affairs Center and cooperating of Cooperation Ministry. She invited all women which are active in trade field to assist for bilateral or multilateral cooperation in different theoretical fields relating to women employment.
It is mentionable the conference ended with a question and answer session whereby raised the participants concerns and Dr. Karballaie replied with reference to activities of IPWFAC.
It is necessary to mention that the first woman and trade conference took place on 13th and 14th of July at the Chamber of Commerce. The aim of holding this conference was promoting relations and interactions with women activists in Iran business field with the other countries. Participants in this conference came from Turkey, Malaysia, Azerbaijan… and also Anectad International Organisations, United Nations Development Program and ECO which dealt with the survey of some challenges about trade and exchange of experiences in this field.
Dr Karballaie visited the first Women and Trade exhibition which was also held there.
